Rwanda stands as one of Africa's most advanced nations in climate action, environmental protection, poverty alleviation, and climate-resilient economic building.
"Capacity Building for Direct and Scalable Impact."
HEAR US Initiative Organization (HUIO) was established in 2021 with a critical mission: to combat gender-based violence and provide holistic support to survivors. Our founding work was driven by the conviction that every individual deserves to live free from violence and with access to justice, dignity, and opportunity.
Through our work, we learned a profound lesson: sustainable impact requires addressing the root causes of vulnerability—poverty, lack of education, unemployment, and climate shocks. This realization led to our strategic expansion in 2026, transforming us from a crisis-response organization into a comprehensive institution building lasting resilience and sustainable development.
Our Doctrine: "Capacity Building for Direct and Scalable Impact." Training is not an endpoint; it is the beginning of measurable change. Knowledge must lead to practice, projects, finance, and community transformation.
A sovereign institutional framework for national and regional application. Each pillar reinforces the others, creating a comprehensive system for sustainable development.
Combating GBV, supporting vulnerable groups, and fostering social cohesion as the foundation for climate-resilient communities.
Building resilience, ensuring food security, and promoting green jobs through reforestation, sustainable farming, and nature-based solutions.
Ensuring healthy communities through improved nutrition, WASH, and maternal/child health—essential for a productive and resilient population.
Investing in human capital through TVET, digital skills, and quality education to prepare Africa's workforce for the green economy.
Creating jobs and empowering women and youth to participate in and lead the climate economy.
The Sustainable People Development Training Center (SPDTC) is the central hub for professional development in climate, carbon, and green entrepreneurship. It is a self-sustaining model that reinvests all profits into community programs—a replicable framework for institutional sustainability across Africa.
The SPDTC delivers professional certification pathways, including the proposed Certified Carbon Practitioner (CCP) programme in partnership with ACCO, alongside courses in Project Management, M&E, Leadership, Green Entrepreneurship, and Community-Driven Development.
A strategic partnership with ACCO to build a new generation of African carbon and climate professionals.
HEAR US Initiative Organization (HUIO) is committed to becoming the first institution in Rwanda—and one of the first on the continent—to offer CC-P® accredited training in partnership with the Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO).
The CC-P® credential is the global standard for climate change professionals. It is essential for Africa's climate leadership and participation in international carbon markets and climate finance mechanisms under the Paris Agreement.
Our work is a direct reflection of Rwanda's national commitments and global frameworks.
Human capital development, economic empowerment, and climate action for a just, prosperous, and sustainable nation.
Creating decent jobs, building climate resilience, and improving the well-being of all Rwandans.
Contributing to "The Africa We Want" — inclusive growth and sustainable development.
SDG 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 13. Contribution to Article 6 mechanisms and international climate goals.
We invite governments, institutions, donors, and professionals to partner with us in building Africa's climate-resilient future.
We are seeking high-level partnerships with institutions like ACCO, government agencies, development partners, and private sector entities to scale our impact and credentialing pathways.
Join our professional certification programmes, including the proposed Certified Carbon Practitioner (CCP) pathway in partnership with ACCO.
Support the expansion of the SPDTC, the CC-P® accreditation journey, and our community programs across Rwanda and the continent.
